BUYING, BUZZ & BUSINESS MADE FOR A GREAT DAY 2

(LAS VEGAS, NV May 28) - - - “With many LUXURY & PREMIERE exhibitors pleasantly surprised with the higher than anticipated buyer turn-out and buying activity, the overall atmosphere on Day Two continued to be optimistic,” commented John Tierney, Event Director, LUXURY & PREMIERE.

“Because of the economic conditions, I came to the show with no real tangible expectations,” said Marcee Feinberg, Vice President, Marketing at Lazare Kaplan International. “I was pleasantly surprised. The retailers in attendance were serious, they were buying and they are optimistic. Bridal-buying seems to be the key and has made all of the difference today. We believe that Bridal is fairly recession-free and since it’s Lazare Kaplan’s strong suit, we are doing well.”

“I really appreciate the size of the show. It’s very manageable and not at all overwhelming,” said Susan Light, Lights Jewelers & Gemologists, Hattiesburg, MS. “I love the quality of the vendors, and everything is done with taste and style. The special events are great and the attention to detail shows. There is truly a sense of luxury in the air; there are special touches and the caliber of speakers is quite impressive.”

“We are pleasantly surprised at the number and quality of buyers at LUXURY & PREMIERE, especially in these current circumstances,” said W. Lecil Henderson, The Henderson Collection by Lecil. “I love the venue and the intimate setting in which we can conduct business.”

The day opened with a performance from Tom DeLuca, whose Corporate Hypnosis program illustrated how innovative people can be when they’re relaxed and free of pressure. As part of the program, Tom presented elements of his Power Napping and ImaginACTION workshops which help people increase focus, energy and productivity in the workforce.
“Tom’s program provided much needed comic relief,” said Tierney. “It also provided a productive outlet for the participants as well as excellent entertainment and a great start for the day.” Other key networking events provided additional excitement and networking opportunities for retailers at LUXURY & PREMIERE.

GE Money sponsored an afternoon snack as a welcome respite for the afternoon. A private performance of “Jersey Boys” at the Jersey Boys Theatre; and the Late Night Lounge at LAVO Lounge in the Palazzo topped off the evening entertainment.

LUXURY & PREMIERE continues through Friday, May 29. JCK Las Vegas opens on Saturday, May 30 and continues through Tuesday, June 2 at the Sands Expo Convention Center. For up-to-date information about the events, visit www.jckshows.com
